about

Playing with themes of odaxelagnia and interspecies love in order to address philosophical debates about domination and the line between humans and animals, this satirical love song to Nietzsche is written from the perspective of a chicken about to be eaten. The film, Chicken Himmel, made by kate hers and the other members of the Korean Studies Department, is an existential experimental music Korean food cooking video which humorously investigates birth, death, and love.

lyrics

Mary had a little lamb
The bird of prey devoured
Bite me, Nietzsche, eat me up,
Assert your will to power

Existing for your plea-sure
I was born to be slain
Your kind is so much stronger
Your strength is worth my pain

Amor fati!

oh the worst of architects
defeats the best of be-es
Will you be my superman?
Oh, bite me, Nietzsche, please

Bite me, bite me bite me, Nietzsche
Bite me, bite me, bite me, Nietzsche
Bite me, bite me, bite me, Nietzsche

Man’s more ape than any ape
A worm’s inside you, st-ill
Dom-in-ate the ani-mals,
You must express your will

Übermensch!

Life itself is vi-o-lent,
Compassion is a sin
Open up those chompers
Oh Fredrich, let me in

Bite me, bite me bite me, Nietzsche
Bite me, bite me, bite me, Nietzsche
Bite me, bite me, bite me, Nietzsche

I don’t want your pity, fool
This is my bad romance
I laugh at you HA HA HA HA
Let’s sing and feast and dance

Amor fati!

Am I drunk or dreaming?
A woman or a bird?
When you feast upon me,
I will have the final word

Bite me, bite me bite me, Nietzsche
Bite me, bite me, bite me, Nietzsche
Bite me, bite me, bite me, Nietzsche

Zarathustra spoke too soon
I’m carnage for your feast
God is dead, but I’m still here,
So eat me, sexy beast.
BITE.
